Vivere ad creandum
It was my dream to become a fine-art painter. My first major in college was fine-arts. It didn't last long. I'm still keeping the dream alive. Maybe one day I'll really be painting en plain air in the Adirondacks.
Projects
Hike Visualizer - Current version
This an attempt at a 3D visualization of hikes. It creates a 3D track in the air and has the camera fly through it, showing pictures and video in the spot they were taken. It’s still a draft, it’s not feeling finished yet. The room it is in is too plain. Here are two examples. The first is the Pemi Loop. An awesome hike in New Hampshire. It took 19 hours to do this 35 mile hike. The second example is the Cranberry Lake 50. A 50 mile hike around Cranberry Lake in the Adirondacks. It's the longest one day hike I've ever done.
Sublime Snippets Playlist
This is a playlist of short videos I created. I've called them Sublime Snippets. Most videos are from hikes in the Adirondacks. If you click "Play All" the playlist is like a LoFi Beats channel with visuals.
Hadley Fire Tower 3D Viewer
Combining a 360° image with https://marble.worldlabs.ai/ technology. Worldlabs is able to take a single 360° image and project it into space. Move around the 3D world to expereince the view from the firetower. The warping and weirdness happen because the AI doesn't have enough data to make sense of it. My M1 MacBook handles the 3D scene OK but older computers might strugle.
Legacy Instagram
I didn't want to contiue to have my attention monitized while freely providing the content. I'm using my own platform with AI to create a substitue publishing platform for my photography. This is a backup of all the Instagram posts before I moved on.
